Our Management
Grant Pace, (Chairman) is responsible for international business development. With more than 20 years of international b usiness experience, he has a distinguished track record of building the Asian sales and operations divisions of companies such as NuSkin, Sara Lee and Avon. Grant joined NuSkin in 1997 as Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia & Greater China, responsible for nine Pacific Rim markets. He was later promoted to Executive Vice President, Pharmanex and then President, NuSkin Division. From 1992 to 1997 he worked for Sara Lee Corporation as Regional Vice President, Asia, where he founded House of Sara Lee Philippines, Indonesia and China. Grant began his career in 1988 with Avon Products, assisting in the opening of Avon's Hong Kong office and serving as Regional Managing Director, Southeast Asia, and President, Avon Pacific, Inc. He also has served as a consultant for Bain & Company and as international legal counsel for Standard Oil and Gulf Oil Corporations. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, United States. Grant completed advanced studies at Columbia University 's Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law and speaks fluent Spanish.
Sheilla Johnson, (President) is responsible for all company activities and reports directly to the Board of Directors. She is a tireless entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in broadcasting, communications, sales and marketing and business development. She began her career as a newscaster for ABS-CBN, the Philippines leading television network and later joined Smart Communications, the largest cellular telephone operator in the Philippines. There she was responsible for Branch Expansion in one of the fastest growing companies in Philippine history. Later she was promoted to Corporate Sales where she was responsible for handling high value corporate accounts. After a diverse and successful career, Sheilla left Smart in 1997 to start her first business. Over the last 10 years, she has pioneered four successful, privately held corporations including HAS Communications, HAS Travel, Skyads, and more recently Hosted Account Solutions, a Call Center, BPO and outsource company. Sheilla studied broadcasting and holds a BS degree from Ateneo De Davao University in Davao City, Philippines in Mass Communications.
Michael Johnson, (CEO) is responsible for service development, technical integration and project management of all new products and services. He is an experienced project manager and communications consultant. Mike began his career at MCI Communications, where he worked as a network troubleshooter in the Western Region Control Center. There he developed the companies first automated network alarm management system. When the wireless revolution began, he was hired by LA Cellular Telephone (today's ATT wireless) where he developed the first US wireless network management system and 911 emergency contact service. (still in operation in Los Angeles ) Mike later accepted consulting positions in both Hong Kong and the Philippines where he served as Project Consultant, managing the startup and build out of two of the fastest growing wireless networks in Asia. He studied Electronic Computer Engineering in the US Air Force, Business Management at TJC in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Information Technology at the University of Phoenix, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Mike is a commercial rated helicopter pilot and Chairman of Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, the Philippines largest surgical charity.
Russ Sandlin, (COO) is responsible for managing our rapidly growing Call Center and BPO businesses. With more than 20 years of international call center experience in finance, collections, technical support and sales and service. He began his career in the financial sector working for Bank of New York, Barclays, Chase Manhattan and Bank of America. Later Russ was promoted to Operations Director at Interactive Performance where he managed a 700 person AT&T billing and customer service call center. When Russ moved to Round Rock, Texas he accepted a position as Area Manager and later Project Consultant for Dell Computer. Over the last 10 years Russ has worked as a consultant setting up and managing a number of rapidly growing call centers in the United States, Mexico, India, Pakistan, Dubai, Qatar and the Philippines. Recently he served as Country Manager for NCO, a 1,600 seat call center located in Quezon City, Philippines. Russ holds a Liberal Arts degree from Regents College, New York and studied Business Administration at St. Joseph 's University in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania, United Sates.
Lucila Espanueva , (CFO, Treasurer) is responsible for strategic financial planning, management, control and reporting for a number of HAS companies. She heads our internal finance group and works closely with our in-house financial consultants and auditors to manage, review and report financial performance. Lucilla, or Lot ” as she is known by her friends, brings continuity and valuable financial to our financial management team. She began her career at Coney Express, Philippines where she served in a number of capacities including Chief Accountant. Later she joined HAS Communications where she served as Director and Head of Accounting, before being promoted to CFO. Lot has been instrumental in the success of the company providing invaluable support and long term direction to all of our strategic, financial and internal reporting processes. Lot is a graduate of Holy Cross College, Davao, Philippines with a BS degree in Accountancy.
Nora Rafol-Reyes, (HRD Manager) is a professional Human Resources practitioner with over 10 years experience in a number of different industries.  She began her career at Goldstar Philippines working as an HR Assistant then accepted a promotion to HR Specialist at Global Brands, Corporation. With extensive experience in the areas of recruitment, compensation, benefits and employee relations, Nora is a seasoned HR veteran. She is highly respected by all of our employees and has developed a number of innovative internal processes to better manage our staff and track payroll and recruitment expenditures. Nora graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila, Philippines with a degree in Psychology.
Atty. Eduardo Dela Cruz , (Corporate Secretary) is our in-house legal counsel and Corporate Secretary. He is an experienced corporate attorney who owns and operates his own law firm, Dela Cruz Law located in Makati City, Philippines. Atty. Dela Cruz is a valuable member of our management team and has been serving as Corporate Secretary for a number of HAS companies since 1998. He is a graduate of Far Eastern University, Philippines where he received a degree in Corporate law in 1974.
